A dream come true of having your own horse for a week. You will be based at an equestrian center situated on a lovely remote site surrounded by woods and bogland with endless riding tracks. You will be relaxing in our tastefully restored 300 year old farmhouse with ensuite rooms. As a more experienced rider you can take your horse out for a different ride every day (with guide if required), and as a novice rider you can take part in the daily horsemanship lessons, as well as the basic riding tuition.

Saturday is the arrival and departure day. We offer this residential ride from early April to late October.

Group size:

 

Minimum of 1, maximum of 8. Individual bookings are welcome.

Equipment:

 

All tack for horses is provided and helmets for riders. All other riding equipment, such as rain gear, boots, jodhpurs, gloves etc has to be provided by the participant.
Riders must wear hard hats (can be provided) and suitable footwear. A waterproof coat or jacket and warm sweaters should also be included in riding wardrobe as Irish weather can be unpredictable.

Accommodation:

 

Restored farmhouse.

Meals:

 

7 full Irish breakfasts, 6 tasty lunches and 7 dinners are included.

Transfers:

 

All transfers provided which are required as part of the riding programme. Transfer to and from Shannon Airport to the riding centre on day of arrival and departure can be arranged at a cost of €35 per person each way.

Miscellaneous:

 

The price quoted includes a horse for 6 days and a guide for the week programme with 15 hours riding or lessons.

Meeting point:

 

If transfer from Shannon Airport is required you will be met at the meeting point in the arrival’s hall of Shannon Airport and brought to the Riding Centre.

Accommodation

A tastefully restored 300 year-old farmhouse is at the heart of the riding centre. The ambiance of times gone by is carefully maintained and yet all modern facilities for the riding guests are provided.

Guests can relax in individually decorated ensuite rooms after a day spent in the outdoors. In the cosy dining room, warmed by the glow of an open turf fire, guests enjoy a hearty Irish Breakfast and traditional farmhouse cooking.

This is a place offering all that is good in Irish hospitality in a traditional, nurturing yet professional way.

To secure your booking, we will request 30% deposit per person. Please note this is a non-refundable payment. The balance payment is due 30 days before the tour starts.

If your tour start date is within 30 days of booking, the full, non-refundable payment is required upon booking.

We do not organise travel to/from Ireland. However there is some useful information on our “Getting To Ireland” page.
