We’ll collect you from your accommodation in Galway and bring you to Killary Harbour where your adventure starts. On the journey into Connemara you’ll pass through captivating landscapes of majestic mountains, sparse valleys and traditional towns and villages.

Welcome to Connemara! Failte go Conamara! Your bike and equipment will be waiting for you at Killary Adventure Centre, where we’ll make sure everything is perfect before you set off. This morning’s cycle on quiet roads and country lanes is a stunning one. You’ll pass picturesque lakes with a backdrop of magnificent mountains, and captivating ocean views. Your destination is beautiful Glassilaun beach, its golden sands and crystal clear waters are perfect for a refreshing dip or walk along the water’s edge.
You’ll then cycle the return loop back to Killary for your gourmet lunch at the Misunderstood Heron. This award-winning food truck is set against the backdrop of the Killary Fjord with mountains soaring all around. Choose from the menu crafted from the best local, seasonal produce for a truly unforgettable culinary experience.
After lunch your adventure continues with a kayaking journey on Killary Fjord. You’ll meet your expert instructor, gear up and learn the essentials of kayaking before heading out onto the sheltered Atlantic waters of Killary Fjord. You’ll explore hidden coves and rugged shores that can only be seen from the water. Keep an eye out for the enchanting local wildlife, you may even be lucky enough to see some fjord natives...the dolphins!
Once your feet are back on the ground, it’s the end of your adventure and time for your private transfer back to Galway. Slan go foil! – we’ll see you again soon.

This white sandy horseshoe-shaped beach has crystal clear waters scattered with small islands with crashing Atlantic waves and a backdrop of magnificent Mweelrea Mountain.
